THE TEAM
As the owner of East Bay Golf Lab, Ron Ocampo embarked on this incredible journey in 2020, driven by a profound yearning to grant himself access to a game that he loves yet finds as exasperating as most other golfers. What initially began as a modest endeavor to build a golf simulator at his car shop East Bay Auto Spa, has organically transformed into a thriving golf community beyond his wildest expectations.
Recognizing the challenges faced by countless new golfers emerging during the pandemic, he understood the dire need for reliable resources to enhance their skills. The conflicting opinions of swing thoughts on social media, coupled with the overwhelming array of equipment choices, often left aspiring golfers in a state of uncertainty, unsure of where to turn for guidance.
During the pandemic's midst, a fortunate encounter at Boundary Oak Golf Course led to a pivotal moment. He crossed paths with the gifted and promising golfer, Brandon Gazdar, during a leisurely Sunday twilight round. Witnessing Brandon's remarkable prowess, including holing out from 120 yards on the very first par 5 that afternoon, left an indelible mark. It was clear that this exceptional talent needed to be part of the vision that he had been brewing.
Brandon's ascent to the role of head tech representative for Taylormade marked a turning point. He played an instrumental role in persuading his superiors to embrace the business as the missing puzzle piece, seamlessly connecting golf swing clients with some of the finest golf equipment available.
The meeting of these great minds birthed East Bay Golf Lab, a testament to their shared vision, passion, and commitment to redefining the way golfers experience and excel in their beloved sport. Together, they are dedicated to offering golfers a dynamic and enriching experience, driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence. East Bay Golf Lab stands as a testament to their enduring dedication to the golfing community and their mission to provide golfers with the resources they need to thrive in this beautiful yet challenging game.
Other ventures
In addition to Ron's passion for golf, his main business is East Bay Auto Spa. East Bay Auto Spa has been fixture in Walnut Creek for over 15 years and has the reputation with the local car dealerships and private car owners to back it up. He also finds an escape through trail biking so when an opportunity to invest presented itself, he jumped on. As part owner of Frame Up Bikes, it gives him the opportunity extend his presence in the East Bay community.
Gabe's foray into the golf industry was born out of a heartfelt desire to empower his friends and fellow enthusiasts within the game. Gabe recognized the immense potential that lay within their deep-rooted relationships and unique skill sets. In response, he spearheaded the creation of a freelance structure that not only opened doors of opportunity but also afforded East Bay Golf Lab clients the freedom to select from a diverse and talented pool of instructional staff.
At the core of Gabe's journey is the founding of "Moneyball," a groundbreaking golf event coordination network that unites like-minded players with a shared passion for competition and monetary stakes. Through "Moneyball," Gabe has brought together golfers who share his enthusiasm for the game, creating an environment where they can challenge themselves and each other while chasing the thrill of financial rewards.
Gabe's innovative approach to fostering community and competition within the golfing world is a testament to his commitment to reimagining how golf is experienced and enjoyed. Brandon is a golfer with a burning ambition to conquer the world of professional golf on a global scale within the next few years. His remarkable journey into the realm of golf and baseball commenced at the tender age of 2, laying the foundation for a lifelong passion for both sports. However, when a shoulder injury abruptly terminated his collegiate baseball career, it paved the way for his next exciting venture: a return to the world of golf.
Dedicated to his craft, Brandon dedicated years to mastering the art of club building and fitting. His unwavering commitment to understanding the intricacies of the golf game and his technical expertise in club fitting led to a remarkable opportunity. Brandon was handpicked to become the head tech for TaylorMade's Northern California/Northern Nevada region, a testament to his exceptional talents and knowledge.
In just a mere 7 months, Brandon ascended to become one of the top fitters within the entire TaylorMade company. His innate understanding of the game, coupled with his technical prowess, allowed him to excel in helping golfers find the perfect equipment to enhance their performance.
Today, Brandon brings his formidable skill set, boundless enthusiasm, and a contagious positive outlook to East Bay Golf Lab. He is an indispensable piece of the puzzle, contributing to our mission of redefining the way golfers approach and excel in their beloved sport. Blake’s passion for golf has been a driving force for over 15 remarkable years. His journey in the world of golf began at an early age, and since then, he’s immersed himself in every facet of the industry. In 2013, Blake took the leap and turned professional, a decision that has shaped his life in the most fulfilling ways.

Ahmad's introduction to the game of golf occurred at a tender age, guided by none other than his father, the esteemed professional golfer, Rushel Lee Dilliehunt. Drawing from the invaluable lessons instilled by his father, Ahmad carries forward the torch of his family's golfing tradition with pride and dedication.
As a golf instructor, Coach Ahmad offers a unique blend of experience and empathy.
